Trinity Parish Episcopal Church completed a $5 million restoration last December after it was badly damaged in the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.
The Seattle church, at 609 Eighth Ave., was originally completed in 1892 and has been named a historical landmark.
The restored church received structural, mechanical and electrical upgrades.
Nearly all the historic finishes were removed from the sanctuary to add shear walls, structural diaphragms at the roof and floor, and a large steel truss. Where possible, historic materials were salvaged and reinstalled.
Improvements include a new sound system and lighting. The chancel was reconfigured and the organ was rebuilt.
A new elevator was constructed to add barrier-free access.
