MUP sought for Colman Center

Triad Development and Goodman Real Estate recently filed a master-use permit application for Colman Center, a 12-story office building slated for a parking lot bounded by Columbia and Marion streets, Post Alley and Western Avenue.

Weber+Thompson designed the 173,800-square-foot Colman Center to be a contemporary transparent building with exposed concrete, large windows and floors unencumbered by drop ceilings. Decks and terraces will be found on every level.

The building's two-story lobby is designed as a “town center,” where tenants and visitors can interact day and night.

Retail and restaurant spaces will be found along Post Alley, as well as Marion and Western. The building will also have several public plazas with water features.

The development team is working with the city to create a curb-less, bollard-lined street with pavers along Post Alley. Tom Berger of The Berger Partnership is the landscape architect.

Turner Construction is scheduled to break ground on the project in June 2007 and finish in October 2008. Dan Dahl and David Gurry of CB Richard Ellis are the leasing agents.
