Too-tall trucks hit bridges a dozen times in 2006: DOT

    A southbound truck yesterday hit the 178th Street bridge over I-5, damaging a girder.

    A truck hit the South 178th Street overpass yesterday, tying up traffic on southbound Interstate 5 near Southcenter mall for several miles and causing significant damage to the bridge.
