Measure 49 could block big Oregon subdivisions

PORTLAND (AP) — A study in Washington County shows that a ballot question Oregonians soon will decide could mean a large decrease in the number of housing units allowed under the 2004 initiative known as Measure 37.

The study shows that the restrictions in this year's Measure 49 would clamp down the hardest on potential subdivisions of up to 720 homes.
