WSDOT audit calls for cost engineers

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Transportation could save $36 million by appointing cost engineers to its construction projects, according to Washington State Auditor Brian Sonntag, who released results of a WSDOT performance audit yesterday.

The audit looked at construction management practices.
