Operating engineers protest their union

    All is apparently not well with some of the nearly 200 concrete pump workers of Operating Engineers Locals 302 and 612. About 30 members that work for Conco recently ratified a new contract, but many more working for the area's three other major concrete pumping companies staged an unusual protest Friday at their union offices.
