Port may expand recycling; fund small projects

The Port of Seattle may spend $1.5 million to install a centralized garbage and recycling system on the airfield at Sea-Tac Airport.

Alaska Airlines and other carriers recently announced plans to start recycling some of their in-air waste, which now ends up in landfills.
