AIA sees slowdown ahead for construction in 2008 and 2009

  • AIA chief economist Kermit Baker said architects have told him business is booming but they are leary about the economy.

    The American Institute of Architects is predicting a slower market for non-residential construction this year, even though December was a record 34th straight month of positive readings in the AIA's Architecture Billings Index.
