Willow Creek Corporate Center Building G, a three-story office building originally constructed in the 1980s, was recently renovated.
Deteriorating wood siding on the 98,000-square-foot building, at 10785 Willows Road N.E. in Redmond, was replaced with durable metal that will be easier to maintain.
Dropped ceilings were removed and window heights were increased to bring in more natural light.
A mesh facade was created to mark the front entrance. A second entry from the parking lot was improved with a glass canopy and a paved walkway.
An unused balcony was converted into a glass-walled conference room. Failing windows were replaced with high-performance glazing. Mechanical systems were updated to improve their efficiency.
The project won the 2007 Redevelopment of the Year award from the Puget Sound chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
