Painter injured in 30-foot fall

KIRKLAND (AP) — A painter suffered serious injuries to his head and back when he fell more than 30 feet at a construction site.

The man was rescued from a shaft by Kirkland firefighters and taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
