The YMCA of Greater Seattle is breaking ground today on the new Highline community center in SeaTac, following a groundbreaking yesterday of the Coal Creek YMCA in Newcastle. A third YMCA in Shoreline is nearing completion and should be open next month.
Each community center is about 50,000 square feet. Projects include a fully accessible swimming pool, gym, teaching kitchen, teen center, community meeting spaces, and health and wellness space.
