Seattle Science Foundation
The Seattle Science Foundation’s $2.8 million research and training center on the Swedish Medical Center’s Providence campus was completed last year.
The 16,600-square-foot tenant improvement project, on the sixth floor of the 98-year-old James Tower Life Sciences Building, includes a 60-seat teleconference center, conference rooms, business center and library, dining area, changing area and sterilization room.
An eight-station “bio skills” lab was designed to offer a realistic operating room environment for surgical training. An audiovisual control room has virtual medical simulation equipment to train physicians on new procedures.
