Tight asphalt market makes some start thinking concrete

Salinas Construction subcontracted this summer to Tri-State Construction for new concrete lanes on state Route 518 connecting to Interstate 5.

Are asphalt prices going so high that we might see more roads made of concrete instead? That's a question some are mulling because costs for liquid asphalt have jumped substantially over the past few months.
