Detroit opens $431M airport terminal

The ticketing area of the new Detroit Metropolitan Airport North Terminal is opening today. It replaces the L.C. Smith Terminal, which turned 50 years old last year.

ROMULUS, Mich. — Detroit Metropolitan Airport's new terminal has more retail and restaurant space than its predecessors, the latest in energy-efficient lighting and refueling technology and room to expand.
