Central Washington could get a new jail

WENATCHEE (AP) — Six counties may become partners on a central Washington jail that would hold as many as 1,000 inmates.

The idea was discussed last week at a meeting in East Wenatchee with representatives from Douglas, Adams, Okanogan, Grant, Chelan and Kittitas counties.
