New report: U.S. schools don't spend enough on maintenance

New construction and renovation projects such as the one recently completed at Garfield High School get a lot of attention but experts say maintenance projects are often overlooked. Seattle Public Schools officials are starting to look at which schools to include in a 2010 levy that would fund repairs.
As kids settle in for the new school year, there's something sinister lurking in the halls. Is it a bullying upperclassman? No, it's inadequate maintenance.
