Contractors here brace for impact of economic turmoil

Contractors can't get a break. After fighting escalating construction material prices and shortages for the last year or two, they now face a sagging economy and tight credit markets that could challenge their ability to remain profitable. The DJC talked to several local contractors and firms associated with the construction industry to see how they are holding up in this market.
