Green River Bridge closed for 6 months

BLACK DIAMOND — The Washington State Department of Transportation has closed the Green River Bridge over state Route 169 for at least six months because of safety concerns.

Heavy rains earlier this month have soaked the soil around the 80-year-old bridge, which was already vulnerable because of an ancient landslide.
