MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Workers are trying to dislodge rocks from the Interstate 5 pass between Oregon and California before one of them falls onto the highway with, as a state geologist puts it, enough force to “squish a semi.”
In the past six weeks, boulders have been tumbling off a cliff on the west side of the Siskiyou Summit pass. A boulder the size of a car came down in October.
