Oregon seeking $175M for projects

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A state stimulus plan aimed at creating public works jobs for 3,000 Oregonians has won final approval in the Oregon Legislature.

The last vote came Thursday as the House approved the plan to sell bonds to pay for a $175 million package of “shovel ready” public works projects at college campuses and state facilities across the state.
