SEATTLE — King County is spending $2 million to make roads in Juanita smarter.
The county's Road Services Division will install fiber optic links and real-time traffic cameras on 10 intersections on 100th Avenue Northeast and Juanita-Woodinvlle Way Northeast. These tools will allow engineers at the traffic control center to synchronize traffic signals and operate those signals remotely when necessary to ease backups.
