SPOKANE (AP) — Flights at Spokane International Airport will be diverted to an east-west runway until September as workers prepare for a 2,000-foot extension next year to the main runway.
Spokesman Todd Woodard says the two-year, $31 million project also will improve ramps, signs and lighting. The rebuilt main runway will extend 11,000 feet. The east-west runway is 8,200 feet long.
