CAMANO ISLAND — Island County Fire Protection District No. 1 on Camano Island will open bids for construction of a new station tomorrow afternoon.
The estimated cost of the station is $2.7 million, said Vicki Cargile of Vic Associates, the construction project manager. TCA Architecture of Seattle and Designs Northwest of Stanwood designed the project. The project includes site development, wetland buffering and mitigation and a water system extension, according to the bid notice that the DJC published on July 27. The mandatory walk-through was last week.
