OLYMPIA — State regulators approved funds yesterday to pay for fencing off the railroad tracks that run through a deadly stretch of Seattle's Carkeek Park.
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission will give $14,420 to the Seattle Parks Department to replace 200 feet of damaged fence and add 100 feet of new chain-link fence along the east side of the BNSF tracks.
