SEATTLE — The Ferries Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation said yesterday it is awarding a contract to Todd Pacific Shipyards for two 64-car ferries. Todd last week bid $114 million for the job.
Todd already is building a 64-car ferry that will be put into service in late-summer of 2010 on the Port Townsend-Keystone route. Todd won that contract in December of 2008.
