Mortenson gets $46M south station contract

  • SPU is also seeking a consultant to provide support services for the new North Transfer Station in Fremont.

    The 98,000-square-foot south station will be on a 9.2-acre site immediately north of the existing station and north of South Kenyon Street.

    Seattle Public Utilities has awarded a design/build contract for the new $68 million South Recycling and Disposal Station to Mortenson Construction with URS. The project is expected to begin construction in October of 2010.
