Everett Cemex site eyed for mixed-use

  • Glenwood could have 1,000 homes, 100,000 square feet of commercial space and more than 500,000 square feet of industrial space.

    Cemex is seeking a rezone on the highlighted area for its redevelopment plan.

    This might seem like an inopportune time to plan a 117-acre mixed-use development, but a company is moving forward with plans to turn a sand-and-gravel mine in south Everett into a new neighborhood.
