Ore. governor to appeal approval of LNG terminal

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Attorney General John Kroger want federal regulators to reconsider approval of a liquefied natural gas terminal on Coos Bay and a pipeline through Southern Oregon.

They said Thursday they will formally ask the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to reconsider their decision on the Jordan Cove project, and if that does not work, will take their concerns to a federal appeals court.
