An emergency well for Mercer Island

MERCER ISLAND — The city of Mercer Island is building a permanent structure around a 570-foot-deep emergency well that will become operational in the spring.

Mercer Island became the first jurisdiction in the state last month to receive a “source permit” for an emergency well.
