SEATTLE — Tomorrow, the Washington State Department of Transportation is scheduled to release the draft supplemental environmental impact statement for the new state Route 520 bridge.
The document will not settle the controversy over the span's alignment on the Seattle side. An agency spokesman said the document will analyze three alignment options but won't identify a preferred alternative. WSDOT and Federal Highway Administration officials will decide the alignment in collaboration with Gov. Chris Gregoire and legislators, the spokesman added.
