SEATTLE — City Council members yesterday said they would give $15 million to help replace the deteriorated South Park Bridge, which King County is closing June 30.
Last month, county Executive Dow Constantine said he would ask the County Council to OK a bond issue to pay about a quarter of the cost of the new $130.8 million bridge. He said more money could come from other local jurisdictions and formation of a local improvement district.
