Lakebed soil study for SR 520 bridge

SEATTLE — Washington State Department of Transportation said its crews have started studying the lakebed to see where to place support columns and anchors for a new SR 520 floating bridge.

Nearly 40 borings will be taken, from 60 feet to more than 100 feet, between Medina and the west end of the floating bridge.
