SEATTLE — Workers have started demolishing a 120,000-square-foot warehouse at Pier 48 to create storage space for equipment and supplies during the replacement of the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
R.W. Rhine of Tacoma is the contractor on the $460,000 demolition project. The project cost is about 35 percent less than what the Washington State Department of Transportation had estimated.
