SEATTLE — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will announce today how it will use $44 million in new federal funding for repairs to the Howard Hanson Dam.
Sen. Patty Murray, who helped secure the funding, will be on hand for the announcement, set for 2 p.m. at the Puget Sound Regional Council, at 1011 Western Ave., Suite 500 in Seattle. She will be joined by King County Executive Dow Constantine and mayors from Auburn, Kent and Renton, in addition to corps staff.
