Sound Transit CEO Joni Earl yesterday recommended suspending several capital project programs and making other cuts in response to a 25 percent revenue shortfall.
Agency officials said the recession continues to cut into revenue projections for the 15-year Sound Transit 2 program, a $17.8 billion package that Puget Sound area voters OK'd in 2008. A year ago, revenues were expected to fall short by $3.1 billion. Now Sound Transit says revenues are off by $3.9 billion.
