Integrated delivery raises questions about contracts

    Integrated project delivery is a new approach to construction intended to save time and money, and it's gaining interest across the country and in Seattle.

    A recent forum on IPD was organized by the Seattle chapters of the AIA and Associated General Contractors, with presentations by Jay Halleran, managing partner of NBBJ; Scott Redman, president of Sellen Construction; Ken Sanders, managing partner of Gensler in San Francisco; and Eric Smith, interim director of the major projects group at University of Washington Capital Projects. Ted Sive of Ted Sive Consulting moderated the discussion.
