A look around Brightwater

Finishing touches are being applied to Brightwater Center, which will have space for exhibits, environmental education and meetings.

Massive ducts remove odors from buildings.

Membrane bio-reactor cassettes are accessed below these plates.

Air is “scrubbed” before being released into the atmosphere.

Stainless steel piping carries odors away for processing.

Most of the plant is under ground, out of sight.

Bearing-less blowers quietly move air.

An on-site substation supplies power to the treatment plant.
