SEATTLE — On Dec. 6, an ice skating rink will open in Cal Anderson Park. The rink is an effort by Hunters Capital and other neighborhood partners to draw people to the area over the holidays.
The 80-foot-long by 50-foot-wide rink will be covered. It is being constructed over the park's basketball court and is expected to attract 400 visitors to the neighborhood daily.
The rink will be open until Dec. 24, though it could be extended into 2012. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and costs $12 per hour for adults and $6 per hour for children.
Perfect Parties USA is installing and operating the rink.
