CH2M Hill demolishing Hanford plutonium vaults

Buildings marked with an “X” are those being demolished in the near term. The big building, the main plutonium finishing facility, will be razed by late 2016.

The U.S. Department of Energy and contractor CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co. are demolishing a six-building vault complex that once held plutonium for the U.S. nuclear weapons program at Hanford.
