COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft of copper wire from an Avista substation near Coeur d'Alene on Jan. 9.
Kootenai County officials say someone cut several of the grounding leads from the equipment. The theft caused about $10,000 in damage and resulted in thousands of Avista customers losing power.
