Tumwater Schools to rehab skills center

TUMWATER, Thurston County — Tumwater School District No. 33 is seeking a consultant for the pre-design phase of the $22 million New Market Skills Center modernization project. Qualifications are due today.

Improvements are part of a 30-year modernization plan for the four-building, 80,000-square-foot campus in downtown Tumwater. Most of the work will involve building upgrades, but there will be some additions for computer labs and a cosmetology classroom.
