ARLINGTON, Snohomish County (AP) — The Northwest Hardwoods lumber mill in Arlington is closing Thursday, putting about 40 people out of work.
A vice president of the Tacoma-based company, Brian Narramore, told The Daily Herald the mill had problems with supply and demand — a shortage of local timber and a low demand for lumber for new houses.
