Old county jail could be new Union Gap City Hall

UNION GAP, Yakima County (AP) — A vacant Yakima County jail building could become the new City Hall for Union Gap where city workers have been forced to evacuate their building because of a mold problem.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports county and city officials are talking about a deal for the former Restitution Center. The county tried to sell the building a year ago for $2.9 million but had no takers.
