WSU animal health center opens, the first of its kind in the nation

The project was funded by a $26 million gift from Paul Allen and $25 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Washington State University recently dedicated the $44.5 million Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health. The 62,000-square-foot center is the first in the nation intended to study the spread of deadly diseases from animals to humans.
