Navy contractors may face $64M cuts

BREMERTON (AP) — The U.S. military is facing a 9 percent budget cut unless Congress averts a deficit-reduction plan by the end of the year. It's formally known as sequestration and informally called the budget cliff.

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Navy Region Northwest say they have received no guidance from headquarters on cuts. They are working on anticipated budgets for 2013.
