More parking for Sounder in Edmonds

EDMONDS — Salish Crossing LLC will build, own and maintain a new 103-space parking lot near the Edmonds Sound Transit Sounder Station. Sound Transit will have a five-year lease on the lot to add to its parking at the Edmonds station.

The lot at 190 Sunset Ave. S. will open May 1 of next year, and Salish Crossing will open a temporary 53-space lot Dec. 1 to bolster parking until the new lot is ready. Sound Transit board members said there is a need for more parking near the Edmonds Sounder station, which currently has 156 available spaces.
