EVERETT (AP) — Workers are scrubbing mold and algae off the 120-foot-tall dome at the Port of Everett.
A crew from Sparkle Wash of Puget Sound began the five-day job Wednesday under a $14,000 contract with Lehigh Northwest Cement Co. It signed a 20-year lease for the dome in 2006, although it stopped storing cement powder there three years ago because of the poor economy.
