TUMWATER — Workers who suffer job-related injuries or illnesses are now required to see an L&I-approved medical provider for ongoing treatment. The new requirement took effect Jan. 1.
Injured workers are allowed to see any provider for their first visit to a doctor's office or emergency room, but will have to pick from the 9,300 providers in L&I's network for care after that. Workers can search for providers at www.FindADoc.Lni.wa.gov.
