Officials want to raise height of eastern Idaho dam

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Irrigation district officials in eastern Idaho are pushing to raise the height of the Island Park Dam in hopes of storing more water.

The Fremont-Madison Irrigation District is proposing raising the dam by more than two feet. The Post Register reports the district has already submitted a water rights application with the Idaho Department of Water Resources.
