The Seattle Housing Authority said it has reached an agreement with two local construction union groups to hire more women, minorities and small businesses in redeveloping Yesler Terrace.
The agreement was signed earlier this month between SHA and the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Construction Alliance II and the Seattle/King County Building and Construction Trades Council. It will cover all Yesler Terrace projects that cost more than $500,000.
